The world population is increasingly moving to cities and for the first time in history, the majority of the people live in urban centers. While cities may concentrate the pollution and waste of society, it also reduces the source to a single location which can make it easier to treat and eliminate in terms of logistics. Security, public services, transit, and infrastructure maintenance are all made easier for the same reasons. Redundant facilities for all services will reduce the chance of effective terrorist attack over the present-day situation of a wide-spread population with its utilities strained to span the distances between everyone.
